Parker Palmer teaches that each of us has an “inner teacher”, a spirit, or soul, divine spark, or essence. When we are faced with discernment or decisions, our inner teacher can provide the wisdom we need. However, most of us are not well-practiced in accessing this important resource. In a Circle of Trust, using a technique called “honest and open questions”, a small group can help a person go deeper and gain insights.
This amazing class will hold sessions in the morning and the evenings which will leave afternoons free to hike, fish or enjoy the peace and beauty that is Camp Mimanagish.
Cathy Barker will lead this amazing class . Pricing and other info will be posted closer to the date or email Cathy Barkeremail@example.com.

You are invited to a nationally recognized evidence-based sexual abuse prevention workshop called “Darkness to Light”. This will be offered at Plymouth Church on: June 19 & 24, July 1,7 & 31 and August 21 & 26 from 6:30-8:30pm. This workshop is being offered FREE to the public. We will also offer childcare to families. Please notify in advance if you are in need of childcare and how many children. The first 15 people that sign up for this workshop will be accepted. To sign up for this workshop call 406-422-1248 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and leave a message for Donna Miller. Donna has over 25 years of experience working in the field of sexuality education and in 2013 became an authorized facilitator to teach Darkness to Light curriculum.
This two hour workshop is designed to empower adults to protect children from sexual abuse. A video will highlight survivors of sexual abuse and each participant will receive a workbook with exercises and facts. Your workbook will help you look at the five steps to protecting our children; 1) Learn the facts 2) minimize opportunity 3) Talk about it 4) Recognize the signs 5) React responsibly.
The statistics show that 1 in 10 children experience child sexual abuse before their 18th birthday. Child sexual abuse is a community wide problem and is a complex problem. The research shows that 90% are abused by people they know and trust. Only 10% are strangers! Our goal is to raise awareness and to educate adults on how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. This program has been approved for 2 contact hours of continuing education by the NASW and NBCC. Certificates will be available.
